Kolkata : Vikram Solar Ltd, a Kolkata based leading solar module manufacturing company’s Raipur solar power plant that was commissioned in the month of September 2011 has successfully completed one year. The Raipur solar power plant is a 2MW power plant and is one of the first grid connected SPV in Chattishgarh.
The project in Raipur is sponsored by M/s Chattishgarh Investments Ltd and the plant is located at the village Kharora in the state of Chattisgarh.
The photovoltaic power plant is connected to the electrical grid and it has a peak power of 2 MW. The power plant consists of eight inverters of 250 kW sourced from AEG, Germany, a world leader in power electronics technology. All the other advance technology equipments have been sourced from leading national and international manufacturers.
For the last one year the plant has been generating and supplying the electricity to the grid successfully. The operations & maintenance of the plant is also looked after by a subsidiary of Vikram Solar and they are fully responsible for ensuring optimum energy output from the facility.
The launch of the power plants is in line with the company’s aim of consolidating its position in the green energy industry.
