When we see nature in all its glorious forms, we can feel the magnificent energy that seems to run everything in harmony, giving us a sense of belongingness. This is how He communicates things about Himself that humans would not have otherwise known. – Shri Mataji
The complexity of our universe points to a deliberate designer who not only created our universe, but also sustains it today. By taking a look at the world around us, we can see that it was designed and created by a Supreme Being. Although science has tried to explained how our universe originated, people around the world want to know why the universe exists, our purpose of existence and what follows it. We have decoded many secrets of the universe, but there are many natural phenomena that we are still unable to fathom.
However, none of these arguments can persuade anyone who refuses to acknowledge what is already obvious. But in fact, the truth of the matter is that in order to see and feel God’s presence, we need to open our minds and awaken our inner conscience.
Today, Sahaja Yoga is one true practice through which we can achieve a true connection with God and awaken our minds and conscience. Inner Awakening is the goal of all religions and spiritual traditions of the world; it can be called by many names: second birth, self-realization enlightenment, liberation, Moksha and Satori. This knowledge is ancient, attained by gurus and their disciplines in the past through arduous efforts of purification, asceticism and prolonged meditation. For a long time, this knowledge was available only to a few souls- being kept secret and transmitted from guru to disciple. For the first time in the history of human spirituality, through Sahaja (“spontaneous”) Yoga (“union with one’s Self”), this experience has become effortless and available to everyone.
The experience of spiritual awakening has been described as a ‘cool breeze’ or fountain of ecstasy pouring over the devotee’s body. Regardless of your belief or ethnicity, there is a Primordial Feminine energy, known as ‘kundalini’ that resides in the triangular sacrum bone of all humans. The sacrum is derived from Latin and Greek which translates to ’sacred’. In spiritual way sacrum bone is said as a power source or root and is the foundation of Sahaja Yoga. For spiritual growth, it is necessary to awaken one’s Kundalini, which take place at higher spiritual levels.
In an average person, the Kundalini- a spiritual energy, lies dormant, coiled at the base of spine. Through spiritual practice, it begins to rise from the base of the spine through the Central channel (Sushumnanadi) right till the top of the head. While it does so, the Kundalini awakens each of 7 chakras along the way. Whatever the spiritual path, when there is spiritual growth the Kundalini rises. This energy has divine healing power that fill the devotee with joy, bliss and ecstasy. As it is awakened, it automatically travels upwards and transforms the seeker spiritually. This kundalini resides within all of us and through this one may effortlessly establish a divine connection with God. The key is to keep an open mind to discovery.
When you reach a relaxed state of mind, you can raise your Kundalini power. This will clean your chakras and you will find yourself more energetic with a heightened sense of serenity, nourished with pure divine energy. Once your soul enlightens and you become integrated
and balanced, benefits become visible in the form of good health. Gradually, spiritual evolution manifests in the mind and body.
Enlightenment arrives through a process of effortlessly letting go, dispelling any pressure that are induced by the desires of the ego. It happens when you allow the spiritual energy to engulf your heart and mind completely, and when you actualize the will of the greater self.
This form of meditation gives us the ability to use the power that is already within us. This helps us to effortlessly and spontaneously achieve a peaceful state of balance, well-being, harmony and self-knowledge. This is the next stage in the evolution of human consciousness. It gives us new awareness beyond our limited minds so that we can evolve towards becoming balanced, peaceful and compassionate.
Sahaja Yoga meditation enables direct experience so that absolute truth is revealed to us spontaneously, and there is no scope of disparity which arises out of mental constructs and dogma. Direct experience that is felt within leaves no doubt about our universal nature and the existence of a supreme being. The divisive contention that we are different and limited to different faiths, nations, colour, class, race and caste is overcome as we experience a sense of togetherness — that we belong to one Divine family.
Salvation is a state of unity with God and is a stepping stone for eternal liberation. This is possible through annihilation of the soul’s false sense of individuality. To ascent toward true self-knowledge, and to your eventual self-emancipation, you need to let go of the illusions that have imprisoned your psyche in a bondage to a false self. Like a butterfly struggling to break free of its chrysalis, you will suddenly find yourself struggling to break free of your previously regimented ideology and principles.
In Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi’s own words, “It is important for everyone to have that knowledge of the roots within ourselves. Sahaja Yoga allows the individual to become his own Spiritual Guide.”
Amidst the subtler negativities of materialism, competition, horrors of violence and self-destructive habits, we are losing base with our inner conscience. To lead healthier lives, we need to practice growth self-awareness and realization. Just like an antenna captures and decodes the wave length and transmits information to our televisions, Kundalini Jagran activates the brain so that it can receive information from the cosmos. There is so much to learn from our past and the cosmos are the perfect source of information. Through Sahaja Yoga, you can receive this divine knowledge which will lead you to the doors to the Kingdom of God.
