Shimla: In Himachal Pradesh, the Maha Shivratri festival is being celebrated with full enthusiasm and religious traditions.
Our correspondent reports, temples have been decorated on the occasion and special Shiv Puja and Havan Yajna’s are underway in the different historic temples of Mandi, Kangra and other districts.
The Mandi town known as Chotti Kaashi, as there are hundreds of God Shiv’s temples including age old historic Bhoot Nath temple. People are thronging in the temples since early morning and are offering milk, bilpatra, fruits, flowers and honey to the God Shiv.
Similarly in Baijnath town of Kangra district people in large number are reaching at historic shiv temple. Tight security arrangements have been made in and around all the temples.
