    Nepal: Counting of votes for parliament and provincial elections begins

    In Nepal counting of votes for parliament and provincial elections has begun.

    As per the preliminary results left alliance of Communist Party of Nepal (UML) and Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) has won 3 seats of House of Representative and leading in 27 places. Nepali Congress is leading in 4 constituencies and others are ahead in 2 places. CPN (UML) candidates have won from Manang and Mustang parliament seats and CPN(Maoist Centre) candidate won from East Rukum.

    In provincial assemblies CPN (UML) won 3, CPN (Maoist Centre) 2, Nepali Congress 1 and Independent won from one place. CPN (UML) leading in 23 provincial constiteuncies, CPN (Maoist Centre) 15, Nepali Congress 3 and others are ahead in 3 places. The historic elections for 165 constituencies of House of Representative and 330 seats of seven provincial assemblies were held in two phases on November 26 and December 7.
