The strong legacy created by Kalyan Bharti Trust by establishing Heritage Institute of Technology in 2001 in Kolkata became more prominent when today Chairman of AICTE, Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe visited the campus and interacted with the staff and faculty members of the Institute.
Prof. Sahasrabudhe addressed the faculty members and staff with the latest schemes launched by AICTE in various areas to promote technical education. He also said that AICTE acts as a facilitator not a regulator or inspector of technical education in India. He spoke about the recent scheme of AICTE in meeting faculty shortage in technical institutions, SWAYAM- a portal launched by AICTE to spread technical education in various areas of the country, the mandatory clause of internships for the students and many more.
Prof. Sahasrabudhe was welcomed by Shri P.K.Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions along with Prof. Pranay Chaudhuri, Principal, Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata, Prof. B.B.Paira, Advisor, Heritage Institute and other senior officials of the Institute.
“Heritage Group of Institutes has developed into a well known institute with quality as its focus in a short span of 16 years,” said Prof. Sahasrabudhe during his visit to the campus. Within a short span of time, Heritage had received NAAC accreditation as well as NBA accreditation creating a strong foundation of excellence in quality education in West Bengal.
