Hyderabad: City based Pragati Green Resorts, one-of-its-kind resort in the country bags the Best Eco Friendly Resort, consequently for third time.

Pragati Resorts is a man-made eco-village developed on barren land creating a natural habitat. The environment here is completely eco-friendly, abundantly bio-diverse, pollution-free and mosquito-free. It makes for the most welcoming destination for recreation, event and health in the lap of nature.

Government of Telangana’s Tourism Department gave away the Tourism awards on Tuesday to coincide with the World Tourism Day. “Tourism for All- promoting Universal accessibility” is this year’s theme.

“Exquisitely upholding the theme of Biodiversity, natural beauty and unique conservation of flora and fauna based on Indian Vedic Culture once again went in favour of Pragati to secure this coveted award for the third time. Earlier Pragati bagged the award under this category in 2013 and 2015,” shared Dr GBK Rao, CMD, Pragati Group.

The government got inspired by Pragati’s efforts towards nature and green cover. Chief Minister KCR gave a clarion call to the people of Telanagana in all his public rallies especially after the launch of his Gramjyoti programme last year to study the Pragati model and replicate it in their respective areas. Since then many teams comprising government civic body, district rural development and gram panchayat officials from Nagole in Hyderabad, Chinnamulkanoor and Yearawalli in Medak, Gangadevipalli of Warangal to name a few visited Pragati for first hand information.

Even TRS Party chose Pragati Resorts to conduct training program for their newly elected Corporators.

Pragati Resort, the health land has emerged as a destination for international events on Biodiversity, Ayurveda and Wellness, Tourism, Horticulture and Agriculture. A series of national and international events have been held in the last few months.
