  • Towards a better health! Ayushman Bharat to provide cashless treatment to 40% of Indians

    Published on May 21, 2018

With an aim to create a ‘healthy India’ towards achieving the goal of a ‘New India’, Modi government announced to launch one of the biggest ever health programme – Ayushman Bharat.

The programme will provide health cover to almost 40% population of the country, open new hospitals and boost the number of doctors in the country. The inspiration for the Ayushman Bharat programme comes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Gujarat experience where a similar scheme is already benefiting those in need of health care and facilities.

Amin who works as a labourer in a village near Ahmedabad was suffering from a major heart problem but thanks to Gujarat govt,  his treatment was done free of cost under Amrutam Card which otherwise would have costed him 3 Lakh rupees.

Trustees of the hospital believe that scheme of Gujarat Government should be implemented all over India.
