  • ‘Celebrations’ Fashion event in Hyderabad on 27th March

    Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s three socialites, art & fashion lovers and designers Ms. Poonam Choudhari, Ms. Sarah Alam Khan and Ms. Sonali Sharma are to jointly organize ‘Celebrations’ – a Fashion event uniting designers from Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Pune, Hyderabad and even Kashmir in Hyderabad city. The event scheduled to be held on March 27th at Hotel Taj Krishna will be inaugurated by Mrs. Shah Alam Khan, Mrs. Usha Kapoor and Mrs. Vinita Pittie.

    Addressing a press conference in city today, Ms. Poonam Choudhari said that ‘Celebrations’ started with a desire to do something concrete towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Since it needs to be a collective effort, I spoke to my friends Sarah Alam Khan and Sonali Sharma, and we decided fashion is something that will surely bring the city together and hence this event was planned.

    informed that the twenty five designers who will showcase their products in the day long exhibition include Vistaara (Precious Jewels Mumbai); Vinita Pittie (Fashion-wear Hyderabad); Shivali Singh (Fashion-wear Hyderabad); Anushree Reddy (Fashion-wear Hyderabad); Vineti Bolaki (Fashion-wear Hyderabad); Elan (Fashion-wear Hyderabad); Sangeeta Singhania (Fashion-wear Hyderabad); Art on Silk (Fashion-wear Pune); Kokommo (Handbags & Sandals Mumbai); Chikankari(Fashion-wear Lucknow); Ramon Llamba (Fashion-wear Delhi); Sarah Jasmin (Fashion-wear Hyderabad); Sabashe (Fashion-wear Mumbai); Maahi (Hand-bags & Sandals Mumbai); Raina (Fashion-wear Delhi); Simar Dugal (Fashion-wear Delhi); Roopa Lamba (Fashion-wear Chandigarh); Rajini (Fashion-wear Hyderabad); Sonia (Fashion-wear Hyderabad); Peachtree (Fashion-wear Hyderabad); Shaw Brothers (Shawls & Fashion-wear Kashmir); Preeti S.Kapoor (Fashion-wear Delhi); Sheytal (Fashion-wear & Sandals Mumbai); Seema Mehra (Fashion-wear Mumbai); and Paintings By Pop Art By LOVE PEACE ART.

    It will offer the Hyderabadi Fashionists not only the best of designer wear from across the country but also an opportunity to show that they care too, added Ms. Sarah Alam Khan and Ms. Sonali Sharma.

    Adding further Poonam Choudhari stated that ‘Celebrations Fashionists’ is not any commercial venture and it is planned purely out of concern to make a huge difference to Make-A-Wish Foundation. As you all know Make-A-Wish Foundation is dedicated to helping seriously ill children realise their hearts desire. It is doing yeoman service for the past thirty years and ours is a small effort to be a part of it. I appeal to the people of the twincities to participate in this event and make it a big success, Ms. Poonam Choudhari urged.

    The day long exhibition will culminate into a classy Fashion Show presenting Vistaara (Precious Jewels) from Mumbai and Designer Wear by Sonia. Vistaara Precious Jewels are designed by Anju Sethi (Mumbai) and Radhika Kapoor (Delhi) extremely talented sisters of Poonam Choudhari. There are hand crafted creations. It is a family jewelery brand of Poonam Choudhari.

    A new label ‘Elan’ by Rummy, Tannu and Poonam Choudhari will also be launched on the occasion.

    The Fashion Show will be choreographer by Imran Khan, and the event will be directed by Ms. Meher Aria. Models such as Rachna Mehta, Neha Khan, Swetha, Kavita Golecha, Madhu Jain, Mudra, Karen, Sharon, Arti Hora, Karishma, Gurleen, Qutub, Manzoor, Sameer Beg, Rashid, Raza, Jibran and others will strut and sashay on the ramp. While some of these are professional models rest of them are city’s socialites donning a role of models for the first time for which they have been undergoing practice for a quite some time.

    Hyderabad’s NGO Sankriti will present handicrafts. The proceeds of the entire event will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
