Ten people were killed on-the-spot and 13 were injured when the mini-bus they were travelling rammed into a stationary truck at Sogras Phata on Mumbai-Agra national highway near Mumbai.
Police said, the mishap occurred around 6 am today near Chandwad, which is about 75 km from Nashik. The driver of the mini-bus traveling towards Kalyan lost control of the vehicle after its tyre burst and rammed into the truck. The injured have been admitted to Chandwad Rural hospital.
Police informed that the occupants of the ill-fated bus were returning to Kalyan from a pilgrimage from Omkareshwar, Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
