Haflong :The 131st birth anniversary of India’s 20th century living ideal, socio religious reformer and founder of “Satsang” Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra was celebrated with full devotion and gaiety here at Haflong Satsang Vihar, on Sunday.
The day’s programme started with nahabat at dawn, Usha kirtan early in the morning followed by congregational prayer, pranam, namjop and reading of holy books of Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchanda. This was followed by a
At 3 pm a religious discourse was held where in all the speakers dwelt at length on the life and ideology of Sri Sri Thakur while discussing philanthropic activities of the Satsang founded by Sri Sri Thakur. The speakers also appealed to people to follow the path shown by Sri Sri Thakur which would help the society develop as a whole.
Several hundreds of people took prasad at Anada Bazar. Talking to this correspondent, Pankaj Kumar Deb, President of the Utsav Committee informed that a huge number of people from various communities took part in the celebration since the district of Dima Hasao has once again become a island of peace as was known in earlier days.
