    152 cargo flights operated to transport over 200 tonnes of essential medical supplies under UDAN

    Government today said, 152 flights have transported over 200 tonnes of essential medical supplies across the country under the Lifeline Udan initiative.

    Civil Aviation Ministry said that these flights are being operated to transport essential medical cargo to remote areas to support fight against Covid-19. It said, 152 flights have been operated by Air India, Indian Air Force and other private carriers.

    UDAN flights also carried ICMR kits and other essential cargo to several North Eastern areas and Central and Eastern states too.
