In Pakistan, flash floods caused by torrential rains have killed at least 16 people in the northwestern part of the country, an official said today.
The incessant rains in the last six days have played havoc in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
A spokesman for the Provincial Disaster Management Authority said at least 16 people, including women and children, have died and 30 others have been injured in the flash floods.
Rains and snowfall often cause landslides and flash floods in northern Pakistan.
