Planning Commission approves Annual Plan of 3,700 crore rupees for Arunachal

The Planning Commission has approved Annual plan of 3700 crore rupees for Arunachal Pradesh for the year 2013-14. This was finalised at a meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh NabamTuki in New Delhi yesterday.  On this occassion, Mr. Ahluwalia appreciated the state for the progress made in education especially in primary education sector. He said the Commission is aware of the need to further improve transportation facility in the border areas and it would be given special attention in the course of the year.

The Chief Minister said that substantial growth has been recorded in revenue generation and additional 350 crore were raised only through effective implementation in the state. He said master plan for agriculture development would be enforced shortly in Arunachal Pradesh
