Haflong : The 2nd Anniversary of Hills Live Tv the only online channel covering the three hills districts of Assam was celebrated on Friday at District Library Auditorium, Haflong in a solemn way.
Amitabh Rajkhowa, Deputy Commissioner and Principal Secretary, NCHAC, Ratan Jaranbusa, MAC, Nojit Kemprai, MAC, Nobojit Hojai, MAC, Kumud Ranjan Kemprai, Chairman, Dibarai Village Committee, Manabendra Gogoi, Addl SP, Purabi Phonglo, DIPRO, Hari Charan Pathok, OC, Haflong PS, P Jeme, Cultural Development Officer attended as the guests of honour along with many others prominent personalities of Haflong.
A group of journalists from various districts of Assam like N Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Karimganj, Jorhat, Nagaon, Baksa, Korobi Doley, Julima Deka, Priyomjyoti Phukan, Vikash Sarma, Amulya Bora, David Hanse, Aninda Bhattacharjee also attended the function as the invited guests.
The day’s programme was started with the felicitation of Guests followed by lighting of lamp by all the guests.
Spectacular traditional dances were performed by the groups from Dimasa, Jeme, Hmar and Kuki which added a festive gesture during the celebration.

All the speakers while appreciating the Hills Live team for their constant efforts wished its manifold development and suggested to maintain honesty and sincerity in this noble profession.
Earlier Anup Biswas, Editor in Chief expressed his gratefulness to the people of Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong support and trust along with all the personalities who have been continuously extending support to this channel as their own channel.
Sanat Chakraborty, Chief Adviser of Hills Live wrapping up the event offered his heartfelt thanks to all the guests for making this event a grand success by their gracious presence. In his speech he also explained the challenges of the media in this digital era.
This was followed by musical night in which singers from Hojai, Haflong etc performed their numbers keeping the audience delighted.
