  • 3 killed, 10 injured in explosion at Nirankari Bhawan in Amritsar

    In Punjab, three people were killed and at least 10 injured in a blast at Nirankari Satsang Bhawan in Rajasansi of Amritsar district today. According to reports, two armed men on a motorbike entered the Bhawan and hurled a bomb on the stage when the Satsang was in progress. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals of Amritsar.
    Our correspondent reports, Punjab Police is watchful and vigilant after receiving inputs that Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists, who entered through Ferozepur, might be hiding in the state and they will try to move to Delhi.
    Later, it came to light that Al-Qaeda commander Zakir Moosa too could be hiding in Punjab. Few days ago, four people had snatched an SUV at gun point near Madhopur area in Pathankot, which has not been traced so far.
    Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has  condemned the attack on Nirankari Bhawan. He has also announced a compensation of 5 lakh rupees each to the kin of the dead and directed the district administration to provide the best possible medical care, free of cost, to the injured.
    The Chief Minister reviewed the Law and Order situation in the state and directed the Home Secretary, DGP (Law and Order) and DG Intelligence to rush to Rajasansi for supervising investigations.
