In Orissa, three Maoists including two women were arrested from Jujumura forest in Sambalpur district on Monday. According to Superintendent Police, Sambalpur, the rebels, were apprehended from Jujumura forest during combing operation by District Voluntary Force. The Maoists were:Sulochana Garnaik, Sarita Singh and Satyaban Mirdha.

Sulochana Garnaik is the first lady cadre of the Sambalpur-Deogarh-Sundergarh Zonal Committee who is instrumental in inducting large numbers of young girls into this organization.

Police have seized two bundle wire, electronic detonator four packets, plain detonator, one country made pistol and some naxal literature from the site.
