In Jammu and Kashmir, three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kulgam district this morning.

The gunfight started after a joint unit of counter-terrorist security grid launched a cordon and search operation at Wani Mohalla Khudwani.

In a tweet, State DGP SP Vaid said, the slain terrorists were involved in the abduction and killing of a trainee policeman Mohammad Saleem Shah in Kulgam district.

The body of the policeman was recovered from Mutalhama area of the district yesterday.
