36 hours Dimaraji bandh called off

Haflong : 36 hours Dimaraji bandh called by former DHD from 5am of 5th October has been called off since the Govt of Assam and India assured to hold meeting on October 8th next, informed Dilip Nunisa, former chairman, DHD today.
Former DHD members had called 36 hours Dimaraji bandh from 5am of 5th October to 5 pm of 6 th October demanding 1. Creation of separate Dimaraji (Dimaland) State within Indian Union under 2nd and 3rd Articles of the Indian constitution. 2. Implementation of Memorandum of settlement. 3. Rehabilitation of former DHD/DHD(J) cadres as per MOS 4. Demands for full-fledged Autonomous Council of Barman Dimasa Kachari Development Council outside of Dima Hasao District.
