  • 4,529 beneficiaries get Rs 47 crore sanctionunder self-employment schemes

     Guwahati : A total of 4,529 beneficiaries in Assam were formally handed over letters sanctioned under self-employment schemes in Dhubri district to some selected beneficiaries under self-employment schemes and some selected beneficiaries in credit outreach programme at The Rural Self Help Employment Training Institute Auditorium in Dhubri. Speaking at a meeting organised by UCO Bank, a leading bank in Dhubri district, Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri Development, Kanta Das spoke at length about the government’s policy to create employment opportunities for self-reliance.

    Deputy Commissioner, Kanta Das said that “I appeal to all Self Help Groups in Dhubri district to make the best use of this financial assistance and at the same time become self-reliant by paying the loan amount regularly, so that a good relationship with financial institutions develops and then they can take a large amount of loan to move forward and expand.” Naveen Kumar, leading bank manager of Dhubri district, said that “64 branches of 17 different banks of Dhubri district are participating in this credit outreach programme and loans will be sanctioned to the beneficiaries. The meeting was also addressed by Dhubri District Director, Navard, Assistant Director of Handloom and Textiles, Monowar Hussain, Dhubri District DICC Manager Nirmal Kumar Das, Director Pradeep Paul and journalist Pranobashish Roy.
