    5.8 magnitude earthquake hits Bangladesh

    A moderate earthquake of 5.8 magnitude jolted Dhaka and several other parts of Bangladesh today. According to the Bangladesh Met Department, the 5.8 magnitude earthquake took place at 0440 hours.

    It was centred on the India-Myanmar region 301 kilometres south east of Dhaka. No damage to property or casualty has been reported from anywhere so far.
