6th batch of 3,489 Amarnath pilgrims leave Base camp in Jammu

The sixth batch of 3,489 Amarnath pilgrims left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas Base camp in Jammu around 3 am today Kashmir enroute to the cave shrine amid tight security arrangements.

The Yatris include 2,478 men, 774 women and 237 Sadhus and Sadhvis.

So far 23,718 yatris have left the Jammu base camp for Kashmir valley for this year’s Amarnath Yatra since the 27th of last month.
