  • 7th edition of Sankara College of Optometry – Reflektionz Intercollegiate Fest inaugurated by Actress Bhavana Rao

    Bangalore : “Reflektionz” the 7th edition of the Intercollegiate Cultural Festival conducted by Sankara College of Optometry, Bangalore was inaugurated by movie personality Bhavana Rao. Inaugurating the festival, she shared, “When I look back the most memorable days are those I spent at college. It is heartwarming to see a college festival not be just song and dance but also important social causes being highlighted.”

    Dr. Kaushik Murali President Sankara Eye Foundation India shared, “it is important for healthcare students to develop empathy – for their patients and towards society. We have collaborated with CII –Young Indians to curate events for students here from across India and other parts of the world to exhibit their talent and also imbibe social responsibility”.

    The 2-day festival – Reflektionz had events that showcased culture, fine arts, aptitude and looks to inspire the youth to demonstrate their talents through quiz, mono acting, short films, singing etc.

    “Be the change you want to see in the world”, said Mahatma Gandhi. Inspired by the Mahatma, 350 students of optometry from across South India pledged to be compassionate, be a responsible citizen and work to eliminate blindness during the event.
