Lauderdale Lakes, Fla – This August, Altitude Water Chief Operations Officer Jeff Szur conducted a visit to South America to help local communities gain access to pure, clean drinking water. Following an incredible visit to Colombia, where Jeff worked to establish a water distribution network and to help support the growth of Calvary Christian Academy’s school in Tierra Bomba, Jeff headed to Costa Rica to continue his mission to bring clean water to people around the world. From August 12th to the 16th, Jeff was in Jaco Puntarenas and all along the Pacific coast to meet with prospective buyers from Atmospheric Water Generation Costa Rica, an organization dedicated to addressing the lack of access to clean drinking water in the country. The team is composed of Rick Fisher and Kealy Cassar, who have lived and operated businesses in Costa Rica for the past 15 years.
Currently, Costa Rica has water problems in multiple communities and parts of the country. AWG Costa Rica’s team has set out to help change this status quo. One such community currently being helped is an in-progress development project where the owners invested substantial money in running water lines to their lots, only to be told after the investment that the water authority did not have adequate water to grant permits. The team feared their hard work would go to waste. During Jeff’s visit, he discussed using Altitude Water’s Atmospheric Water Generators to supply the lots with the necessary water for permits. Jeff and AWG Costa Rica’s detailed plan is paving the way for making this development a reality in the future.
Jeff also visited the Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort, though not for a day of recreation. A community of primarily expats, Los Suenos is perfect for Altitude Water’s technology and the need for families to enjoy safe, pure drinking water without having to buy bottled water or ingest nano plastics. After a discussion with AWG Costa Rica, the golf course and the Marriott at Los Suenos have agreed to replace its Reverse Osmosis units with Altitude Water’s in order to better service residents. A second Marriot property is also planning to showcase Altitude’s unit during an upcoming, highly-anticipated golf tournament on September 16th.
“Between my visits to Colombia and Costa Rica, my mind is racing with excitement for future opportunities,” said Jeff Szur. “Costa Rica has an incredible culture and is blessed with incredible natural surroundings that value sustainability, and we want to help their communities reach that beautiful vision in any way we can. I’m excited to continue working with AWG Costa Rica to bring their team’s development to life, as well as see Los Suenos’ residents and other condo communities and developments to make the community more resilient as well as aware of protecting nature through our life changing technology.”
