  • A Legendary Tribute to the Mellifluous Voice; Celebrating Golden Jubilee of Padmashri Anup Jalota’s Golden Voice

    People’s Arts Centre to host a versatile live-in concert by Padmashri Anup Jalota followed by exquisite exhibition of portraits of the maestro by renowned painter Geeta Dass.

    Anup JalotaPeople’s Arts Centre, a non-political, non- religious & non-profit making NGO actively existing for the national integration through the propagation of traditional Indian Arts & culture in all Indian languages across the country more than three decades to host a unique Golden Jubilee Celebration of Mellifluous voice of Padmashri Anup Jalota that will see performance by the maestro in front of famous Padmanabhaswami temple replica in Shanmukhananda Hall.

    The live-in performance by the Bhajan Samrat will be followed by a spectacular showcase of different portraits of Anup Jalota by renowned painter Geeta Dass.

    Anup Jalota, the singer par excellence has turned 60, being in demand when it comes to singing not only Bhajans but also soulful Ghazals during various performances in India & across the globe.  Having performed for over 5000 live concerts spread across 300 cities globally in a career spanning three decades & coming up with more than 200 music albums, Anup Jalota enjoys an unprecedented global fan following setting a world record for receiving more than 100 Gold, Platinum & Multi Platinum discs.

    People’s Arts Center, there decades of meaningful existence & enrichment of kaleidoscopic of cultural life in the great metropolis, Mumbai & other cities in India to bring about a celebration & a tribute to the maestro Anup Jalota with a live-in performance followed by an art exhibition displaying portraits of Anup Jalota by painter Geeta Dass.

    Geeta Dass is a painter from Kashmir, who is always in the eternal quest of perfection. Her paintings are a reflection of her quest for spirituality and her belief that the road to protection is endless.

    A monograph of Anup Jalota compiled by veteran Jyothi Venkatesh is being released on the same day.
