    Aakar Asha Hospital organizes its 5th One Rupee Reconstructive Surgery Campaign

    Picture 01Hyderabad : Aakar Asha Centre for Enablement of Physically Disabled (formed under the N.Swain Memorial Trust) today organized its fifth “One rupee reconstructive surgery camp” at Tolichowki in Hyderabad. The Camp was inaugurated by Janab Kausar Mohiuddin Saheb, M.L.A (Karwan Constituency) in the presence of Dr. Bharatendu Swain Director and Managing Trustee, of Aakar Asha Centre for Enablement of Physically Disabled at Govt Balajyothi School, Hakeempet, Tolichowky.

    The camp was organised to enable the physically disabled people in the city to live a near normal life through the result oriented and guidance of reconstructive surgery.  This noteworthy initiative is aimed at bringing the hospital’s highest quality surgical intervention to the physically disabled patients through the 6 month long campaign. A series of such camps have been planned across the slum areas of Hyderabad, already four such camps have been conducted across Kukatpally, Balanagar, L.B Nagar and Mehdipatnam. The camps have been hugely successful and have received a fantastic response from the people. So far Aakar Asha Hospital has identified 120 people and performed reconstructive surgery to help 85 patients under the campaign.

    Janab Kausar Mohiuddin Saheb, M.L.A. (Karwan Constituency) appreciated the work done by Aakar Asha Hospital in improving the quality of life for the people suffering from physical deformities. He appreciated the One Rupee Reconstructive surgery program and said that such camps are a blessing for the poor people who cannot afford the costly reconstructive surgery.
