Mumbai: Ballal Jyoti Travels, an established travel logistics solutions company, today launched Aarya Cabs, a new radio taxi service in Mumbai. A fleet of Aarya Cabs were flagged off today by Mr. S. B. Sahastrabudhe, Joint Transport Commissioner, Mumbai Region and Mr. M.B. Jadhav, RTO, Central Mumbai.

With an evident gap in the demand and supply of better ground transportation facility in the city, Ballal Jyoti Travels took this opportunity to extend its expertise in the travel logistics sector by venturing into the fast growing radio taxi service segment.

After having successfully launched India’s first small car radio taxi service under the brand name ‘Aarya Lite’ in New Delhi – NCR region late last year, the company is now foraying into Mumbai with radio taxi services with the initial deployment of 30 Maruti Suzuki Eeco model. Aarya Cabs plans to increase its fleet to 100 taxis within the next three weeks and aims to touch the 500 mark by end of this year.

Commenting on the launch of Aarya Cabs, Mr. Amol M. Sawant, Managing Director, Ballal Jyoti Travels, said, “Having established ourselves well in the corporate travel logistics space and given our expertise in understanding the customer requirements as a transport solutions provider, venturing into the radio taxi business is a logical extension to our market offering. With the growing demand for convenient, comfortable, efficient and safe taxi services in the city, Aarya Cabs is confident of offering its customers an unparalleled travel experience.”

The company is optimistic about its growth plans and intends to multiply its fleet size in the coming months, thus increasing employment opportunities for the city’s drivers. To ensure consistent and excellent quality of service, the company has put forth a meticulous recruitment policy. Further, the company would also train and certify the drivers thereby offering them an opportunity to enhance their skills sets.

Elaborating further on driver recruitments and incentives, Mr. V Gopalakrishnan, CEO, Ballal Jyoti Travels, said, “Each Aarya Cab driver has been appointed after intense scrutiny, police verification and authentication of his credentials. Our drivers are committed to delivering quality service and offering a satisfying travel experience to Mumbaikars. Besides creating employment opportunities, we are also trying to foster entrepreneurial spirit amongst our drivers. Their active involvement in achieving sales targets and income generation for themselves will ensure overall business and growth objective of the company.”

Mumbaikars can avail the 24×7 service by calling 44104410 to book an Aarya Cabs from anywhere in the city. The Eeco model taxis offer extra space to the passengers as well as provide them ease of travel with their luggage. Aarya Cabs are also equipped with laptop chargers, a work-on-the-go option for professionals availing the service. The seats have been refurbished to give maximum thigh and back support with integrated headrests for better comfort for the passengers.
