    Published on March 3, 2011

Japan: Asian-based ABeam Consulting and European-based management and technology consultancy BearingPoint today announced that they have agreed to form a strategic consulting alliance. This alliance will enable both firms to extend their consulting capabilities in Europe and Asia and to answer the growing needs of their clients for services in these regions.

ABeam Consulting and BearingPoint will be treating each other as a preferred partner for their respective markets and cooperating on both pre-sales and project delivery activities. Both firms will rely on each other’s infrastructure and resources to provide business consulting services for both existing and new clients in Asia and Europe.

“BearingPoint has a proven track record in Europe. With this alliance we will be able to proactively support the Asian expansion of European companies and thereby accelerate the growth of ABeam Consulting’s business in the Asian region. In addition, it allows us to provide enhanced services to our customers operating in Europe”, said Toshinori Iwasawa, President and Chief Executive Officer of ABeam Consulting. “BearingPoint and ABeam Consulting are partners sharing a common vision. By leveraging each other’s strengths and creating synergy, we intend to become quality providers of consulting services on a global level.”

“This agreement is another milestone for us. Since our management buyout in 2009, expanding our global reach to serve clients around the world has been one of the key elements of our firm’s strategy,” said Peter Mockler, Managing Partner at BearingPoint. “Asia is a strategically important market for us. We are convinced that ABeam Consulting is the ideal partner for us in this region and that our services and client bases complement each other in the best possible way. Our international clients who are or want to become active in the Asian region will most certainly benefit from this alliance.”
