Home Minister Amit Shah has said that decision of abrogation of article 370 and 35 A from Jammu and Kashmir is the best tribute to the 35 thousand martyrs of CRPF in the country. Speaking at the 27th Raising day celebrations of Rapid Action Force- RAF at Vastral in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the Home Minister said that Jammu and Kashmir will now be on the new path of peace and prosperity.

Acknowledging the supreme sacrifices of the CRPF jawans, Mr. Shah said that Prime Minister recently inaugurated the National Police Memorial in Delhi to mark these supreme sacrifices. Home Minister said Prime Minister Modi will also launch the logo of National Police Memorial on 31st October, on the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. He appealed the people to visit National Police Memorial once to pay the respect to the martyrs and Jawans.

Mr Shah said that the RAF- established in 1992 with the special aim has fulfilled the aspirations of the people and the government. He said it was established to respond to communal riots and related public order, but now it is also serving in disaster management and sensitization of society on various issues. The Home Minister also gave away gallantry medals to the widows of martyrs and jawans on this occasion.
