Aakanksha Sareen is well known for her work in the Punjabi film and music industry. She is also a model who the audience appreciates for her beauty and expressions. She is one of the youngsters that dream of acting roles and work hard enough to achieve them. Because of her persistence and hard work, today Aakanksha is a well-known name on TV. We asked Aakankshaabout her journey so far and it is a perfect story of a dreamer striving for success.

Just like other little girls, Aakanksha spent a lot of time dressing up in her mom’s dupatta and heels and acting like a beauty queen in front of the mirror. Aakanksha’s parents thought that those were just childhood fantasies and recorded the moments in family albums. However, Aakanksha’s attraction towards the entertainment industry only increased as she grew up. From pretending to sign autographs to watching all award functions, Aakanksha did it all as a teenager. She recalls how she used to argue with relatives that tried to demotivate her by talking about the dark side of showbiz. 

When Aakanksha’s friends were preparing for entrance exams, she was appearing for auditions. While many naysayers said that as a girl, she should focus on studies and not entertainment, she didn’t give up. In 2014, Aakanksha took part in Femina Miss Diva Chandigarh and won the title. This helped her gain the confidence to work harder towards her dreams. Aakankshaadmits that the praise she received for her good looks and demeanor was enough to give wings to her dreams.

Several auditions later, Aakanksha got a break in the Punjabi music industry. Her performance in her first music video ‘Jaan’ by Happy Rajkoti amazed people and earned her many fans.This started her journey of never-ending fame. She has also appeared in music videos of songs Dil Darda by Roshan Prince,Paune Atth by Ranjit Bawa, Teeji Seat by kaka, Shaniwar by Gurnam Bhullar, and Zumba by Babbu Mann. In 2015, Aakanksha’s happiness knew no bounds when PTC recognized Dil Darda as the best music video of the year. Over the years, she has given 400 hits to the Punjabi music industry and fans are always left asking for more.

Aakanksha’s acting acumen has also been widely appreciated. She made her acting debut with Mitti – Virasat Babbaran Di, a Hema Malini production. Later, the audience applauded her performance in other Punjabi movies, including Gurmukh and Dulla Vaily.

Aakanksha also has a well-established social media presence with 484k followers on Instagram. Her journey is an inspiration for the youth. Aakanksha’s success, despite having no godfathers in the industry, bears testimony that talent and hardwork make an unbeatable combination.
