Ahead of 70th Republic Day, Fortis Hospital, Cunningham road conducted free health screening for Ex- Indian Armed Forces

Bengaluru : To honour the Ex- Indian Armed Forces for their selfless devotion and sacrifices, Fortis Hospitals, Cunningham roadconducted a three-day long health camp from January 23rd to January 25th ahead of 70th Republic Day. Around 70 members of the Ex-Indian Armed Forces were screened for various lifestyle and chronic diseases like Hypertension, Diabetes, Heart diseases, Renal, COPD, respiratory problem, etc.

 

During the three day camp, along with the health screening, doctor also provided free consultations and also conducted sessions on basic health awareness and precautions against common viral diseases.

 

Dr. Priya Sreedharan, Facility Director, Fortis Hospitals, Cunningham road, said, “The job of Indian Armed Forces is hectic and requires a lot of readiness. For this readiness to remain unimpacted, it is important that they are fit-to-fight even after their service. We decided to provide free health screening to the members of the ex- Indian Armed Forces as a tribute to their selfless dedication towards the nation. Through this health screening we plan to help them understand their health status, prevent illness and to stay in good health”
