Mumbai: RJ Malishka’s Morning No.1 show received a pleasant surprise when Bollywood celebrity, Akshay Kumar called in live and asked RJ Malishka to connect him to Sita Sahu, a Double Special Olympics medallist from Madhya Pradesh.
Akshay Kumar had heard about how the sportsperson, who was barely 15 years old when she brought laurels to the country in Athens in 2011, is now selling pani-puri on the streets of Rewa. On hearing her travails, Akshay wished to help her out in whichever way possible.
Red FM connected the actor to Sita and he congratulated her and requested her to keep running. He also promised her financial aid and encouraged her to continue “running” and never give up. The actor is also sending her a special gift.
The financial assistance provided by Akshay Kumar shall definitely give a fillip to Sita Sahu’s stagnant sports dreams and hopefully get her/her family out of their miserable current situation.
