Akshaya Patra’s Newest Kandi Mega Kitchen receives Delivery Vehicle

Hyderabad: Akshaya Patra’s newest mega kitchen located at Kandi in Telangana received a delivery vehicle by Infor Technologies. As the implementing partner of the Government’s flagship Mid-Day Meal (MDM) Scheme, Akshaya Patra provides nutritious, hygienic and tasty mid-day meals every school day to children studying in Government schools to support their health and education. The newly donated van from Infor, the global leader in business cloud software products headquartered in New York City, United States, will strengthen the collaboration between Infor and Akshaya Patra and help the Foundation’s Kandi unit reach out to over 4,000 beneficiary children in this region.

The vehicle was flagged of at an event held at The Akshaya Patra Foundation Kandi kitchen on 12th November, 2021, in the presence of Mr. Rangaswamy, Senior Vice President and Mr. Mohan Banala, Director – Finance and their team.

Acknowledging the support, Mr. Sundeep Talwar, CMO, Akshaya Patra said, “We are glad to partner with Infor and immensely grateful to them for their valuable support to our efforts to reach out to children with nutritious mid-day meals by donating a delivery vehicle or urging their employees to participate in our volunteering drive. We hope this is just the beginning and Infor and Akshaya Patra will continue to work together towards a world where no child is deprived of education because of hunger.”

Apart from the vehicle, Infor employees are actively volunteering with Akshaya Patra virtually as well as in person and are conscious of their responsibility towards society and environment. Employees are also contributing wholeheartedly to the Foundation’s Back to Schools campaign kicked off on the eve of Daan Utsav.
