  • All India conference of Directors of Finger Print Bureaux begins

    In Madhya Pradesh, the 13th All India conference of Directors of Finger Print Bureaux began in Bhopal today. The two day conference is discussing ways to use finger prints in different types of investigations more efficiently. Our Bhopal correspondent reports that state’s home minister Umashankar Gupta inaugurated the conference. Voice Cast The two day conference is being organized jointly by National Crime Record Bureau (NRCB) and Madhya Pradesh Police. The latest techniques in the field of finger print identification apart from Automated Finger Print Identification system are being discussed in the conference. This year’s conference assumes special significance as NRCB is an implementation partner in the Home Ministry’s Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS) mission. Talking to media DG of NRCB N K Tripathi said that CCTNS would be launched in October this year. Terming it as revolutionary step, he said that it would connect about 20 thousand police stations and other police offices across the country. He said after its implementation common people would find police system transparent as they could register online complaints and track their complaints.
