Haflong : The Deputy Commissioner and DEO Dima Hasao,Haflong has notified for information to all Electors of General Assembly Election 2021 pertaining to 16-Haflong(ST) LAC that Voter Information Slip will not be allowed as proof of identity for voters.
As such those who have been issued EPIC shall have to produce the EPIC for their identification at the Polling Station before casting their votes. In case of EPIC clerical’s error, spelling mistake etc. should be ignored provided the identity of Elector can be established by the EPIC. Moreover if an elector produce an EPIC which has been issued by the ERO of another Assembly Constituency such EPIC shall also be accepted for identification provided the name of that elector find place in the Electoral roll pertaining to the Polling Station where the elector has turned up for voting. On the other hand if there is mismatch of photograph etc and if any electoral fail to produce his/her EPIC, such Electors shall have to produce any one of the following alternative photo document for establishing his/her identity as mentioned below.
1. Aadhar card.
2. MNREGA job Card.
3. Passbooks with photograph issued by Bank/Post Office.
4. Health Issuance Smart Card issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labour.
5. Driving License.
6. Pan Card.
7. Smart Card issued by RGI and NPR.
8. Indian Passport.
9. Pension documents with photograph.
10. Service Identity Cards with photograph issued to employee by Central/State Govt./PSUs/Public limited companies
11. Official identity card issued by MPs/MLA,s/MLCs.
