  • Amarnath Yatra: Over 13,900 Yatris pay obeisance on day 17

    On 17th July 2019, The Heritage Academy organized ‘Convergence’, the induction and orientation programme for the new batch of students in BBA, BCA, BSc-Media Science and MSc- Media Science courses at The Heritage campus. The programme was addressed by Prof. Saikat Maitra, Vice-chancellor, MAKAUT, WB as the Chief Guest followed by Dr. Vikash Agarwal, Chairman, Global Cancer Trust and Shri Amitabha Datta, Director, Calcutta Media Institute  as the Guests of Honour. The programme also witnessed the presence of Shri Vikram Swarup, Vice-Chairman, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Shri Probir Roy, Director, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Shri P.K.Agarwal, CEO, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Dr. Gour Banerjee, Principal, The Heritage Academy and Dr. Madhupa Bakshi, Dean, Department of Media Sciences, The Heritage Academy, Kolkata.

    The programme started with lamp lighting ceremony and then a motivating address by the Principal of The Heritage Academy Dr. Gour Banerjee. Dr. Vikash Agarwal motivated the students and parents and greeted them for being a part of the great Institution. Shri Amitabha Datta briefed about the growth of media from the 1990s till now and how digital media is now the demanding trend in the Media Industry. Prof. Saikat Maitra spoke about Industrial revolution and the new innovation in Education and Teaching learning process. More than 500 students and parents attended the programme. It will continue till tomorrow which will be addressed by various other experts.
