  • In Jammu and Kashmir, annual Amarnath Yatra is progressing smoothly from both Pahalgam and Baltal routes amidst tight security.
    Yatra from traditional Pahalgam route resumes on Monday after it was suspended yesterday due to a bandh in Kashmir valley on Sunday.
    Yatra via shorter Baltal route resumed on Saturday following improvement in weather conditions.
    Meanwhile, fresh batch of 6,162 pilgrims left from Jammu this morning for Kashmir valley amid tight security. They include 4,580 men, 1,360 women, 203 Sadhus and 19 Sadhvis.
    The two-month long pilgrimage will end on August 26 coinciding with the Shravan Purnima festival.
