Guwahati : Retaliating against the allegations made by suspended Congress leader Anil Raja, former state forest minister Rockubul Hussain said that Raja is a “420 person”. Stating that Raja’s allegations are “false and baseless”, Hussain said that the former is trying to “mislead the public and malign his image”. but he has falsely claimed to be one in the affidavits which he submitted during the elections. On Friday, Rockybul made all his educational certificates public along with the graduation certificate which bears the symbol of the Gauhati University. “Here’s all my education degree certificates. Now Anil Raja should apologise and prove that I am wrong,” said Rockybul. Raja had claimed that he filed an RTI at the Nowgong College regarding Rockybul’s education but, in reply, the college’s principal stated that there is no data with the college regarding Rockybul’s graduation. However, the principal stated that there are details of the former minister being a student of PU 1st year in the college. On Friday, Rockybul said that he will file a complaint against the Nowgong College principal for “providing false information”. The former minister also said that “people with vested interests” are constantly “targeting” him and he will raise the issue in the next Assam Assembly session.
