Commenting on the new implications Mr. Nagaraj Krishnan, Managing Director, Aparajitha Corporate Services Private Limited said, “the goal is to stretch out social security to all employees and workers either in the organised or unorganised sector, though the state has an obligation on checking the welfare of the employees, the primary responsibility still lies with employers since they’re taking advantage of workers’ productivity. Employment should have the freedom to take ownership and responsibility for providing social security to their workers. I also observe still a major portion of the specialists in these new organizations was not covered under any of the current laws. I hope this new Social Security Code expands the scope of Social Security by providing for the registration of all types of workers including gig workers, unorganised workers and platform workers. Therefore, I strongly believe that the new social security code is a welcome change”.

The webinar session, garnered a huge response of 1090 attendees, including HR experts and mid and senior-level workforce across different industry areas.

The ’60 Minutes Compliance’ is a structured monthly webinar since 2020. The session will have a compilation of previous discussions on the labour code or the new topic accordingly.
