  • Army Public School doing best in India, says GOC Eastern Command

    Jorhat : Army Public School in India doing best in India and is far better than Kendriya Vidhyalayas in recent years, said Lt. Gen Sunil Srivastava, VSM, COS &chairman Bd of Administration,Eastern Command who attended as the chief guest on the occasion of Eastern Command’s Army Public School chairman and principals meet-2018 that was kicked off at the Army Public School, Charaibahi, Jorhat here today.

     

    The Lt. General who explained to be very lucky to stand before galaxy of teachers on the occasion of the Teacher’s Day called upon the Principals from the Eastern Command’s Army Public Schools said that the education is not so deep and to make a challenge forum like this will held to establish a proper practical as well as deep education system which could be formulated.

     

    Though this forum will make parents more concern about the education system and responsibility goes to the principals. Chairmen, board of directions to streamline the education process and further urged the participating chairmen and principals to feel free and discuss their experiences. Challenges, problems to overcome the areas of difficulties. Everything we cannot change but there is always something that we can change, the GOC added.

     

    Earlier the chairman of the organizing committee Brig MC Pant welcomed the delegates coming from various military stations from all over the Eastern Range including  Maj. Gen Bhadauria, MG-I/c  Adm, Maj. Gen Anil Khosla-AVSM, VSM (retd), managing director AWES headquarter  also participated during the inaugural session of the two day Eastern Range Principals and Chairmen Meet-2018 which was earlier followed by beautiful cultural program that was performed by the students of APS, Jorhat following lighting of the traditional lamp by the chairman of Bd of Administration of Eastern Command here today. While the entire inaugural session was assisted by Ms Yasmin Kaur Bains, the principal of the APS, Jorhat.

     

    Meanwhile, APS, Jorhat was awarded for School   maximum progress in Class XII Board Exam in Command Level, School First in Academics in Class XII Board Exam in National Level( Medium and Small category for  Volley Ball (Girls) Runners Up. The award was presented to  Yasmin Kaur Bains,the  Principal of the school during the  meet.

     

    Hosted by APS Jorhat,the Eastern Command Chairmen & Principal’s Meet 2018, was attended by the nominated  chairmen & principals of various Army Commands of the country and the chairmen & principalsfrom  25 schools under command which  was chaired by Lt Gen Sunil Srivastav,VSM, COS and Chairman Bd of Adm Eastern command and Patron of APS Jorhat ,Maj Gen Harvinder Singh, GOC HQ  41 Sub Area. Brig MC Pant, Chairman, APS Jorhat delivered the welcome address  well  attended by senior officials from the eastern command were among , Maj Gen Anil Khosla, AVSM,SM,VSM (Retd), MD AWES HQ, Col(Retd) Deepak Gupta, Director Schools HQ AWES New Delhi and Maj Gen R S Bhaduria, MG-Ic-Adm, Col(Retd) Sujit Dutta, Director AWES HQ Eastern Command.

     

    A number of agenda points on school issues related to academics and other activities were discussed by the forum. The meet culminated with a cultural program by the students of APS Jorhat.

     

    The program also saw the presenting of awards in various disciplines to the schools. APS Rangapahar was awarded the Excellence trophy in small schools categories and APS Tezpur emerged as the winner of Excellence trophy in Senior Secondary category for the academic year 2017-2018.
