  • Arunachal : NIA Releases Poster Seeking Information on MLA Tirong Aboh’s Murder

    Guwahati : Has the National Investigation Agency (NIA) finally zeroed in on the killers of Tirong Aboh, the sitting MLA of Arunachal Pradesh’s Khonsa West assembly constituency? If a few posters, which are making the rounds on social media, especially in eastern Arunachal Pradesh, are to be believed, the central agency has not only identified the accused in the sensational killing of Aboh and 10 others in an ambush near Bogapani in Tirap district on May 21, but it is also on their lookout. If the claims are true, then the NIA has apparently made a major breakthrough in the case that hogged headlines across the country for the manner in which the MLA and his aides were killed on that fateful day.In the latest development to the MLA Tirong Aboh murder case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued a poster of the murderers of the MLA with cash rewards.   The posters seeks information about few NSCN cadres, including self-styled Lt Col Apem, a resident of Tizit in Nagaland; self-styled captain Ellie Ketok, a resident of Kheti village of Tirap district; self-styled ‘Kilonser’ Ravi Wangno, a resident of Dadam village of Tirap district; self-styled major general Absolon Tangkhul, a resident of Phatang and self-styled captain Victor Tangkhul, a resident of village Phantang, both under Ukhrul district of Manipur. The NIA in its posters has announced cash rewards from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh for the those who can provide information leading to their arrest. Sitting Khonsa West MLA Tirong Aboh and ten others were killed in an ambush near Bogapani in Tirap district on May 21. The NIA has apparently made a major breakthrough in the case. After this heinous killing, the case was handed over to the NIA in June last.The posters consist of information regarding a few NSCN cadres, including self-styled Lt Col Apem, a resident of Tizit in Nagaland; self-styled Captain Ellie Ketok, a resident of Kheti village under Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh; self-styled ‘Kilonser’ Ravi Wangno, a resident of Dadam village under Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh; self-styled Major General Absolon Tangkhul, a resident of Phatang village under Ukhrul district of Manipur; and self-styled Captain Victor Tangkhul, a resident of Ukhrul district of Manipur. As per the posters, the NIA has also announced cash rewards ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh for the individual(s) who can provide information leading to the arrest of the accused.
