  • Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu arrives at the last village on the India-China border

    GUWAHATI : Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has visited Damin, India’s last village in Kurung Kume district of the frontier state. Pema Khandu became the first Chief Minister to reach here. So far, it was very difficult to reach here due to the poor condition of the roads. During this time he inaugurated many projects. During the visit, he also inspected the roads constructed by the BRO. During his visit, he assured the villagers of all possible help from the government to improve infrastructure in the area along the India-China border.

    He was accompanied by Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Byabang Felix and local MLA Lokam Tassar. Pema Khandu is the first Chief Minister to visit this last circle of the country. Damin Circle is deprived of basic amenities like mobile network coverage and proper transport facilities due to poor road conditions.

    The Chief Minister also handed over the official information of upgradation of Damin Circle to local MLA Lokam Tassar to the ADC headquarters.Reacting to the issue of migration of villagers to urban areas due to lack of basic amenities and basic amenities in villages, Chief Minister Khandu assured that the government would do everything possible to improve infrastructure for rehabilitation of displaced people. Khandu also announced upgradation of the only school in Damin Circle to secondary level.
