  • Assam CM launched Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra in Darrang district of the State.

    Mangaldai: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday launched the Asom Pradesh BJP’s ‘Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra’ programme at Sipajhar in Darrang district as a part of the party’s nation wide campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a clean, green, plastic free fit India. In this connection the BJP workers of the Mangaldai Loksabha Constituency organised a part rally at Sipajhar Academy playground. Addressing the gathering Chief Minister appealed to people present to get inspired with the ideology of ‘Bapuji’ and follow the path of Prime Minister Modi to transform the State into a clean, green, plastic free strong ideal place in the country. On the occasion he offered felicitation to the family members of the local freedom fighters and also took part in the ‘Road show’ for a short period. Earlier he arrived at the  venue in a helicopter landed in the nearby makeshift helipad . State Revenue Minister Bhabesh Kalita, Parliamentarian of Mangaldai Lok Sabha Dilip Saikia, BJP legislators from Sipajhar and Mangaldai Binanda Kr Saikia and Gurujyoti Das along with many senior leaders of the  Pradesh BJP including Anup Barman among others attended the meeting followed by several kilometres long ‘Road Show’ called “Pada Yatra”. The programme has been organised by the party in all the Loksabha Constituencies of the State.
