  • Assam Education Department Releases Sops For Reopening Of Schools.

     Guwahati : The Assam State Education Department on today released SOPs to reopen schools for all classes from February 1. The decision has been taken keeping the low rate of Covid 19 infection and improved scenario of the Coronavirus cases in the state. Permission has also been granted to start college hostels as per the SOP released by the Assam Education Department in this regard on Wednesday.

    In addition, regular classes from class 1 to class 5 of lower primary schools and from class 6 to class 10 of the upper primary schools will be conducted regularly from 1st February. According to the SOP the cleanliness of the school classrooms, hostel rooms, etc. should be given full importance before the commencement of new classes. In the case of hostels, kitchens, toilets, dining rooms, dormitories for students, etc. should be completely sanitized. Students who wish to stay in the hostel can return to the hostel only with the permission of their parents.

    The travel details of the students coming to the hostel from different places have to be properly collected by the hostel authorities. The SOP also mentioned that even if classrooms and hostels are open, maintaining social distance and wearing masks will be mandatory.
