Assam Rifles and Narcotics Department recover drugs worth Rs 3 crore in Manipur Two people arrested

 Guwahati: Assam Rifles’ Aizawl battalion, excise and narcotics department has recovered methamphetamine tablets worth Rs 3.33 crore in Mizoram’s Aizawl district tonight. Two persons have been arrested in connection with the case. Defense Public Relations Officer has given this information.

Earlier in the day, Assam Rifles personnel in Manipur seized around 118 kg of banned drugs worth Rs 118 crore in Telanganaupal district on November 30. Troops intercepted a three-wheeler at Phungchong village and recovered five gunny bags along with 118 kg of suspected pseudoephedrine tablets from it, an Assam Rifles official had said. This comes two days after the Serchhip battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles and Customs Preventive Force Champai on Monday recovered a huge cache of war-like stores (WLS) in Mizoram’s Champhai district.
