  • Assembly polls: AICC Vice Prez Rahul Gandhi campaigning in N.K’taka

    Rahulcp3The AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi is campaigning for his party in North Karnataka today. Campaigning for Congress candidate in Sindhanur of Raichur district, Ilkal and Hungund in Bagalkote district and Bijapur town, he reached Sindhanur a short while ago.

    In Bangalore, interacting with the media persons, the senior Congress leader and former Union Railway minister C K Jaffer Sharief said last five years there was suffocating atmosphere in Karnataka. He felt that for the sake of power, Janatha Dal(Secular) party joined with BJP after breaking away from Congress. That is the reason why BJP could form Government in the state. He stressed that Lokayuktha report on illegal mining has revealed the true face of BJP government, that wore the mask of ideals and values.

    Meanwhile, as part of election campaign the BJP launched 14 campaign vans today that will travel around the state. The JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy is campaigning in Raichur and Koppal district today. The leaders from other parties too are taking part in various parts of the state.
