Kokrajhar: An assessment camp for free distribution of aids and appliances to ‘Divyangjan’ under corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Guwahati-Siliguri pipeline was held at Kokrajhar Government College today.

The programme was organised by ALIMCO, Guwahati in collaboration with IQAC, Kokrajhar Govt College, in association with NSS and Scout & Guide Cell, Kokrajhar Govt College.

The camp was inaugurated by AR Halder, chief operation manager, IOCL, GSPL, Bongaigaon.

More than 400 beneficiaries attended the assessment camp. The assessments of the Divyangjan beneficiaries were done by experts of ALIMCO, Guwahati. The beneficiaries assessed in the camp will be provided with motorised tricycles, tricycles, wheel chairs, crutches, smart phone, smart cane, daisy players, braile kits, digital hearing aids within one month time.

Prosthetic and Orthotic, ALIMCO JC Deka, Dr Dwiark Sharma from MRM Hospital Kokrajhar, Dr Banabina Brahma, Principal of Kokrajhar Govt College were amongst the dignitaries who attended the programme.
