  • Aster Medcity, Kochi and Cochin Cancer Center have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide free radiation therapy treatment for economically backward cancer patients. The authorities of Cochin Cancer Center approached Aster Medcity to deliver better treatment services to cancer patients following a directive from Health Minister Veena George. Following this, Aster Medcity officials decided to include cancer patients from backward communities in Karunya Health Care Scheme to ensure quality treatment.

    Aster Medcity will provide radiation therapy facility to the patients referred by the authorities of Cochin Cancer Center under the Karunya scheme,” said Farhan Yasin, Regional Director, Aster Hospitals, Kerala and Oman Region.The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Balagopal, Director, Cochin Cancer Centre,  Dr. Paul George, Clinical Oncologist, Cochin Cancer Centre, Dr. Durgapoorna, Senior Consultant – Radiation Oncology,  Aster Medcity, Dhanya Shyamalan, Patient Service Head, Aster Medcity..
