At least 8 killed, 7 wounded in Afghanistan hotel attack

In Afghanistan, at least eight security forces personnel were killed and seven others wounded as attackers entered a hotel in Qala-e-Naw, the capital of western Badghis province.

According to Tolo News, the siege has ended.

Nasrat Rahimi, an interior ministry spokesman, said a group of suicide bombers had entered a hotel and were shooting civilians.

He said two attackers have been killed so far. Rahimi said that police forces have cordoned off the area and are fighting the gunmen. Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
