Atypical Advantage, India’s largest livelihood platform for Persons with Disabilities, announces its upcoming Art Exhibition, “Art for All: Uniting in Freedom, Celebrating Diversity,” to be held at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bangalore. The exhibition will take place from August 3 to August 6, 2024, and will feature over 100 artworks, sculptures, and photographs by 60 talented artists, more than 60% of whom are artists with disabilities. It will be inaugurated on August 3 at 3 PM.
The exhibition aims to democratize art by providing a platform where artists with disabilities can showcase their talents alongside other artists. This inclusive event celebrates creativity across all abilities, emphasizing the power of art to unite and inspire. By bringing together diverse artistic expressions, the exhibition highlights the importance of accessibility and representation in the art world, promoting a message of equality and shared humanity.
The event will feature works by eminent artists such as Ajay Jayaprakash, Indubala, Rupak Munje, Shreya Gupta, Varun Naren, Maredu Ramu, Rajendra Munje, Ritu Khate, Vivek Mahendra, Ekta Khanna, Prasenjit Sinha, and senior artist Amitava Bhowmick. Archana Gokhale, an artist with hearing impairment, will conduct live painting demonstrations on August 4, offering visitors a unique insight into her creative process.

Volunteers will be available to guide visitors, and each artwork will have a nameplate with a QR code linking to additional information about the artworks and artists, along with audio descriptions to ensure the exhibition’s inclusivity and accessibility. A sign language interpreter will also be present to assist visitors with hearing or speech impairments. This commitment is a testament to our respect for all individuals and our belief in the power of art to unite us all.
