Plymouth resident Deborah O’Brien will host a book signing for her new novel “The End of the Beginning” (published by Balboa Press), on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 7-8 p.m. at the Screening Room of the Marq at the Pinehills, 40 Pinehills Drive in Plymouth MA.
The event is free of charge and open to the public. “The End of the Beginning” is a fictional story about two people whose chance meeting and subsequent relationship illustrates old-fashioned but powerful virtues.
Joanne is drowning in credit card debt; Joe is drowning in grief. When these two broken souls accidentally converge, they not only find the love to transform their lives but the lives of others as well. As Joanne and Joe navigate through their faults and flaws, and overcome their trials and tribulations, readers are reminded of the importance of maintaining positivity and balance during turbulent times.
“The End of the Beginning” is different from other romantic novellas in the sense that it is not all about finding the happy ending, but finding lasting happiness despite the circumstances. The overall theme of the book conveys that “it is never too late to learn from our mistakes and discover the new beginning in every ending of our life.”
When asked what she wants readers to take away from the story, O’Brien states, “I wrote this book to help readers look for the silver lining. In our world of doubt and negativity, it is hard to see but it is always there. Something good comes out of every unpleasant situation … no matter what. I hope my readers will say, ‘Today is going to be a great day!”
